Here's what we were working with - a new outbuilding that needed full exterior siding, soffit, and fascia from the ground up. No shortcuts. Just proper installation done right, starting with a solid weather barrier before a single board went up.
Board and batten is one of those styles that looks simple but has to be executed carefully to actually look good. The vertical panels need to be plumb, the batten spacing has to be consistent, and the trim work around windows and doors has to be tight. Sloppy cuts show. Gaps show. There's nowhere to hide on a style like this.
The soffit and fascia tie the whole thing together. That dark fascia running along the roofline gives the structure a clean, finished edge - it's what separates a building that looks complete from one that looks like it's missing something. Getting those lines straight and properly fitted matters more than most people realize.
We do this kind of work all over Eagle Mountain and the surrounding areas. Siding, soffit, fascia - it's not just about looks. It's about keeping moisture out, protecting the structure underneath, and making sure everything holds up against Utah weather for years to come. The finished product here is exactly what good exterior work should look like.
